Experience the joy of Jewish learning and community with Congregation Sinai’s Adult B'nei Mitzvah program! This transformative journey is open to adults of all ages and backgrounds, whether deepening their connection to Judaism or celebrating a milestone they missed earlier in life. Participants study Torah, Hebrew, Jewish history, and liturgy in a supportive environment, culminating in a meaningful ceremony marking their growth and commitment. No prior knowledge is required—just a desire to learn and connect. Join us in this enriching experience and become part of a tradition that honors learning, spirituality, and personal achievement.

Congregation Sinai’s Adult B'nei Mitzvah Program started up in January 2025. It meets on Thursdays at 7:30 pm.

Online course materials can be found here.

No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity and a desire to learn.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Learn to chant Torah and Haftarah.

  • Write and deliver your own D’var Torah.

  • Understand the meaning of Jewish prayer and participate more fully in services.

  • Collaborate with your class to shape additional goals and experiences.

If you have any questions, contact Rabbi Berkenwald.

SINAImakes! invites YOU to

SINAI’S POP-UP ART SHOWCASE SUBMISSION FORM

Share your talents with your fellow congregants, and help make Sinai's first ever Pop Up Art Showcase a success!  You don't have to be a fine artist, a trained artist or even a recent artist to share your work.  Works from all ages are warmly welcomed.  We are looking for any medium (though sorry, not digital art since we don't have the capacity to provide electronics) and any skill level that showcases your Judaism.  It could be a photo you took on your first trip to Israel, a seder plate you or your child made together, a lego creation of a ritual object, a hand-made tall it, or something completely different.  We can't wait to see what you've made.

All artwork should be brought to Congregation Sinai by February 3, 2026 and should be picked up by February 12, 2026.
