Sinai Film Club "Hester Street": Sunday, May 18, in the Mirkin Chapel. Sinai Film Club is proud to present a showing of the 1975 film Hester Street directed by Joan Micklin Silver. Doors open at 6:15pm for schmoozing and free refreshments, and the film begins promptly at 6:45pm. Entrance is free. Beer, wine, and refreshments provided. 

The film follows the fascinating stories of the vast Jewish immigration into New York in the 1890's and features Carol Kane (Between the Temples) in the award winning role of Gitel. Running time 1 hr. 31 mins. with discussion to follow.
