Image of Victory is an action packed comedy drama is framed by the 1979 peace treaty between Sadat and Israel, from the perspective of the Egyptian journalist who filmed the 1948 battle as a propaganda “image of victory” for King Farouk. Its central question–What does victory actually look like?—speaks to our own moment in time. The film won 3 Israeli Academy awards.
