Eva Jacoby Bat Mizvah

  • Congregation Sinai 1532 Willowbrae Avenue San Jose, CA, 95125 United States (map)

Hi, my name is Eva Jacoby and I am a 7th grader. I have been going to Congregation Sinai all of my life and feel lucky to be part of this community.  In my free time I love doing gymnastics, baking, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, and playing with puppies. For my community service project this year, I have begun baking birthday cakes for children in need through a nonprofit called Cake4Kids.

My Torah portion (parshah) is Re’eh. In Parshat Re’eh, Moses is recounting God's laws for entering the land of Israel. These laws include the laws of kashrut (keeping kosher) and keeping a corner of your field for the poor.I would like to give a special thanks to Morah Doug for teaching me my maftir, haftorah, and Torah service, as well as Rabbi Berkenwald for helping me understand my parshah. I would also like to thank my parents for encouraging me and helping me every step of the way.  Thank you to all my family and friends for being here to help me celebrate my Bat Mitzvah!  Shabbat Shalom!

Jessica Intrator and Rambod Jacoby invite you to join their family as they celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Eva, at Congregation Sinai. Kiddush luncheon, hosted by Jessica and Rambod, will follow the service. Please join Eva and her family for this wonderful simcha. All are encouraged to attend.

SHABBAT MORNING SERVICES CAN BE VIEWED AT HTTPS://WWW.SINAI-SJ.ORG/LIVE. NO ACCOUNT OR PASSWORD IS REQUIRED.

Please note that if you attend in-person, you may appear on-screen. The livestream view will be of the ark, the bima, the podium and the first two rows in the Sanctuary. Anyone whose preference is not to be included in the frame should sit a few rows back and not ascend the bimah.
