Hi, my name is Ella, and I'm in seventh grade. I enjoy being a member of my dance team, running cross-country, and learning math. I also enjoy spending time with family, listening to Taylor Swift, and hanging out with friends.
Something meaningful that I have learned about throughout my seven years attending Sinai religious school is about the importance of mitzvot.
My parashah is Miketz from the book of Genesis. The parashah tells the story of Joseph's rise to power in Egypt and his reunion with his brothers. My haftarah is the well-known story of the case brought to King Solomon by the two women arguing over a baby.
I would like to thank Doug Brook for being my Bat Mitzvah tutor, Rabbi Berkenwald for helping me with my D’var Torah, and my Hebrew teachers, Dalya Talmor and Roni Bar-Niv.
I am grateful for the support I receive from my parents, grandparents, sisters, and friends.
Nadav Rotem and Becky Feinberg invite you to join their family as they celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Ella, at Congregation Sinai. Kiddush luncheon, hosted by Nadav and Becky, will follow the service. Please join Ella and her family for this wonderful simcha. All are encouraged to attend.
Shabbat morning services can be viewed at https://www.sinai-sj.org/live. No account or password is required.
Please note that if you attend in-person, you may appear on-screen. The livestream view will be of the ark, the bima, the podium and the first two rows in the Sanctuary. Anyone whose preference is not to be included in the frame should sit a few rows back and not ascend the bimah.
