7th Grade B'nei Mitzvah Class Project: Sunday, December 17, 2:00-5:00 pm. The program will begin and end at Sinai. This month's topic is ma'achil re'evim (feeding the hungry). Students will learn about food scarcity, kashrut, and gain some derech eretz (practical knowledge). They will be joined by a representative from Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley, who talk about some of the clients whom they serve. The 7th graders will go to Safeway together where they will shop for specific clients who receive food assistance from JFS.
